I'm starting to think I buy things in the wrong size out of conscious just so I have to excuse to go back.
Anyway, going to Primark on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year was a major mistake - I've never seen the queue's so big, it was 4 times bigger than normal!
However after I'd been in there a good 30 minutes and chose a handful of bargains, I didn't have the heart to put them back.
Possibly Primark have huge queue's on purpose, the amount of people picking up items from till point displays whilst they were waiting were insane. At first, I laughed at these people, picking up ridiculously patterned tights they'll probably never wear, or buying yet another pair of welly socks.
But after 15 minutes of queuing, I admittedly became one of these people.
My extra sales whilst queuing were 5 pairs of 10 denier socks, 1 pair of 80 denier tights, and these incredible false nails. These all roughly came to £5, so if every person on average spent an extra £5 whilst they were queuing, why would Primark ever want to get more tillpoints to decrease queue time.
Vicious cycle, I see your game Primark.
I've seen a lot of people talking about these faux nails from Primark, so thought at £1 for 24 nails I had to give them a go.
I applied these when I got home, and chose to try the glue which was included (although I had already predicted it'd be pretty bad.)
The nails are all a really nice shape, and I found I hardly had to do any filing to make them fit my nails correctly. You also get enough selection in the box to apply them well at least once.
I applied these as by the instructions, and at first I was very impressed. After an hour I guess I became cocky, so went to go make food.
Opening a tin of beans couldn't of been a worse idea. The thumb nail bent under the pressure and ripped down the middle! :'(
Not feeling up to soaking all the nails off, I filed this nail down then applied a second nail to my damaged thumb. This worked an absolute treat - the increased strength by a second nail on my thumbs made me feel a lot more confident about going through my getting ready procedure (any girls who have applied false nails will appreciate how fiddly it is pulling on tights with newly done nails.)
The nails lasted for 2 days before they started flicking off - having half a hand done of nails is truly one of my pet hates. I managed to get the others nails off quite easily.
So, in conclusion, I think these Primark nails are impressive for £1, however I'd only ever wear them for a theme evening, as they're not practical enough for everyday use.
However, I would like to try these with a much better glue, to see if this improves the wear time.
